Big Commerce.

I sat down with BigCommerce's DEI community for an honest conversation about the whole arc of my career-from my early days as an SDR to the senior exec seat, and everything I learned carrying it. We talked about the difference between mentors and sponsors and how to actually build those relationships, how to know when it's time to change roles versus change your approach, and how to manage up without losing yourself.

We went to the real stuff too: why busy is not a badge of honor, how your body keeps the score when you ignore burnout, and why imposter syndrome isn't a flaw - if you've never felt it, that's the red flag. It usually means you have the emotional intelligence to know what you don't know. I shared what's worked for me as a working parent in demanding, travel-heavy roles, and what I'd tell anyone who's often the only woman or only minority in the room: your voice belongs there, ESPECIALLY when it shakes.
